Ellen Page to 'Stitch N' Bitch' for HBO

Watch out everyone, because this girl power thing seems to be contagious. Fresh off a stint in the roller derby empowerment film 'Whip It,' Oscar-nominated 'Juno' star Ellen Page has announced that she will be writing and producing a new comedy for HBO titled 'Stitch N' Bitch.'

While casting details are still up in the air, according to The Hollywood Reporter the single-camera show will follow the lives of two hipster girls who uproot themselves from their home in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn and move to L.A.'s Silver Lake area to pursue their dream of becoming artists.

Joining Page as writers and co-producers are fellow 'Whip It' co-stars Alia Shawkat and Sean Tillmann. Shawkat is probably best known for her work on 'Arrested Development,' while Tillmann has a successful recording career under the performing names Har Mar Superstar and Sean Na Na.

Though Page currently has several film roles lined up, she hasn't yet ruled out starring in 'Stitch N' Bitch' in addition to writing and producing it. And why not? After all, if she can take a flying elbow, there's no limit to what she can do. We think her roller derby teammates would be proud.
