Mel B has banned her children from watching her new burlesque show

The former Spice Girl thinks her performance in Las Vegas cabaret production 'Peepshow' is too raunchy for her daughters - 10-year-old Phoenix and Angel Iris, two.

Mel - who also helps raise her husband Stephen Belafonte's daughter Giselle, four - said: "I am thrilled with the finished 'Peepshow' product - all the rehearsals have paid off and it is an amazing show."

" But there are three people who won't be seeing the production - Phoenix, Angel and Giselle! The show is quite saucy in parts and there are some scenes that are unsuitable for children," Mel added.

Mel, who dons a series of ultra-revealing outfits to play Peep Diva, intends to make it up to her family by spending quality time with them after the show's run has finished.

She added to Closer magazine: "The kids will get to see me afterwards and I will tell them what a great time I had."

The 33-year-old star recently revealed her husband begged her to wear sexier outfits for the production.

She said: "I wear a ringmaster outfit with a coat, knee high boots and a corset. When my husband saw the other dancers running around with hardly any clothes on he said, 'Melanie, you need to take some more clothes off!'  Now I'm wearing the tiniest thong and fishnets!"
