Robert Eugene Thompson and Taurus Deshane Morris entered the Florida home brandishing a gun, held a knife to the resident's throat and requested for the kitchen utensil.
They are facing armed robbery charges after they were apprehended outside the Plant City home.
Police officers say the criminals forced entry to the house, Thompson armed with a folding knife and Morris with a chrome pistol.
Thompson - who is also facing an aggravated assault charge - demanded the metal egg beater, which was later discovered in the back pocket of his trousers.
They are both being held in jail with no bail.
