A media company bankrolled by the government of Abu Dhabi says it is teaming up with a California video game developer to create online games for the Arab world.
Abu Dhabi Media Company says its 50-50 joint venture with Gazillion Entertainment includes plans to build an online gaming studio in the capital of the oil-rich United Arab Emirates.
Financial terms of Tuesday's deal were not disclosed.
Gazillion specializes in so-called "massively multiplayer" online games, which let thousands of players interact over the Internet simultaneously.
The San Mateo, California-based company agreed in March to produce online games featuring Marvel Entertainment super heroes such as Spider-Man and the Incredible Hulk.
