This morning, Nintendo officially unveiled Link's newest adventure, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for its DS system. Due to release this year, the game casts you as the series' memorable elf. This time, however, he steers a train through what may be the land of Hyrule.
Although details are scarce, the game appears to borrow elements from both Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. Link retains that cartoon and cell shaded appearance, while users will mostly likely defeat enemies using the stylus. Instead of sailing a boat across the high seas, they'll hop aboard the train.
At this point, it remains to be seen whether the game's innovative or a rip off of Nintendo's previous efforts. We're all for more Link, but it looks like Wind Waker with a new means of traveling. We'll report more as soon as we get our hands on it.
