Activision today revealed that Bruce Springsteen will release songs for Guitar Hero World Tour on January 27, 2009. This will mark the rock icon's debut in video gaming. The Bruce Springsteen Track Pack will feature Born to Run and My Lucky Day, the latter coming off his new album "Working on a Dream" which also releases on January 27, 2009.
"Bruce Springsteen has been a defining force in Rock 'n Roll and we are incredibly excited to have him make his video game debut with Guitar Hero World Tour," said Robert Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard.
"Activision has been a leader in getting music to the public in new ways and we are very happy to have them making these two songs available to their audience," said Springsteen's manager Jon Landau.
The Bruce Springsteen Track Pack will release on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Wii on January 27, 2009. The songs will be available for free until February 4, 2009, after which the track pack will retail for US$3.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360 with the singles releasing on Wii for 200 Wii Points each.
