Following its impressive financial results for the last fiscal year and its Ubidays event in Paris, Ubisoft has revealed sales figures for its top selling franchises in the publisher's 22-year history.
While you might think the blockbuster success of Splinter Cell or Rainbow Six would have propelled one of those series to the top, Ubisoft's classic limbless character Rayman is still the top dog (so to speak). Ubisoft has sold 22 million units in the franchise as of May. In aggregate, however, there's no question that the Tom Clancy games are driving Ubisoft's business. The publisher has sold 55 million units in its various Clancy franchises – and the Clancy brand is only expanding with titles like HAWX and EndWar.
Here's the list of best selling franchises as of May:
- Rayman: 22 million units sold
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: 20 million units sold
- Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: 19 million units sold
- Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: 16 million units sold
