E-mail (Electronic mail) allows you to exchange messages, documents, photographs, and sounds, with anyone with an e-mail address, virtually anywhere in the world, instantaneously.


There is no charge for sending or receiving e-mail with the AOL® Mail on the Web service.



Sign On to AOL® Mail on the Web


1. Go to www.aol.com.au, then click the Mail icon.
2. In the E-mail address: box, type the desired E-mail address, type the password in the Password: box, then click the Sign In button.

Note: If your Web browser displays a Security Alert message, click the Yes or OK button to continue.



Read E-Mail on AOL® Mail on the Web


You can use a Web browser to read your e-mail through the AOL.com® Web page. After you open a message, the message no longer appears in bold font on your message list. Only unread messages appear in bold.


To read your e-mail:
1. Sign on to your AOL Mail on the Web.
2. On the AOL Mail window, click the New Mail folder (or Inbox, depending on your settings).
3. Click the message you would like to read. A new window will open (the mail may open in the same window).
