Reply to an e-mail


Replying to an e-mail allows you to quickly and easily send a message back to the author of the e-mail you received. When you reply to an e-mail, you can change the e-mail addresses it is sent to, change the text in the message or subject fields, and change the attachments included.


Note: When you reply to a message that has attachments, the files attached to the original message are not attached to your reply. If you want your reply to include these attachments, you must add them to your e-mail before you send it.


To reply to e-mail:
1. Open the e-mail to which you want to reply.
2. Click the Reply button to compose a reply only to the e-mail sender.
3. If needed, in the To:, Cc:, or Bcc: boxes, enter additional e-mail addresses.


Note: If you do not see the To:, Cc: and/or the Bcc: boxes, click the respective links.


4. Type your reply message in the large message box.
5. Click the Send button.
6. Click the Back to New Mail button to continue reading your mails.



Reply all to an e-mail


Note: When you reply to a message that has attachments, the files attached to the original message are not attached to your reply. If you want your reply to include these attachments, you must add them to your e-mail before you send it.


To reply all to an e-mail:
1. Open the e-mail to which you want to reply.
2. Click the Reply All button to reply to everyone listed in the From:, To:, and Cc: boxes of the e-mail.
3. If needed, in the To:, Cc:, or Bcc: boxes, enter additional e-mail addresses.


Note: If you do not see the To:, Cc: and/or the Bcc: boxes, click the respective links.


4. Type your reply message in the large message box.
5. Click the Send button.
6. Click the Back to New Mail button to continue reading your mails.
