Write e-mail features on AOL® Mail on the Web
The AOL® Mail on the Web service lets you send your AOL® or AIM® e-mail from any computer with an Internet connection. E-mail can be sent to other AIM members, AOL members, or Internet e-mail addresses.
To write an e-mail:
1. Click the Write Mail button. The Write Mail window will open.
Notes:
- You can discard an e-mail before sending it by closing the Write Mail window. If you close the Write Mail window, the e-mail is immediately discarded and it cannot be retrieved.
- If your cursor disappears while you are moving between boxes, you must upgrade your browser to the latest version.
2. In the To: box, type the e-mail address of the person to whom you want to send e-mail. To send the same e-mail to more than one person, type a comma and the e-mail address for each additional recipient. Optionally, in the Cc: or Bcc: boxes, type the e-mail addresses that are to receive a copy of the e-mail.
Note: If you send an e-mail to an AIM member or an AOL member, you need only type the member's E-mail address in the To:, Cc:, or Bcc: boxes. If you send to someone using another Internet Service Provider (ISP), you must include the entire e-mail address including the domain, for example, [address@domain.com]. If you leave out any portion of the e-mail address, the e-mail will be returned to you as undeliverable.
3. In the Subject: box, type a subject for your e-mail.
4. Type your message in the large text box.
Note: If you enable the Rich Text/ HTML Editing feature, the Write Mail window allows you to use colour, add formatting, as well as choose a font for the text. The Rich Text/ HTML Editing feature is only available with the Microsoft® Internet Explorer browser.
5. Attach any files you want to include with the e-mail.
6. Click the Send button.
7. If necessary, click the Close button.
