In order to use the AOL® Network Magic™ program properly with Windows® Service Pack 1, be sure your network and computers have the required configuration, and you have disabled any Internet Connection Firewalls (ICF).
Disable Internet Connection Firewalls
AOL Network Magic will not fully function when the Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) is enabled. To correct this problem, turn off ICF. This would leave your machine unprotected; however, as part of your AOL membership you may choose to use a downloadable firewall at AOL® Keyword: Firewall.
To disable Internet Connection Firewalls:
1. Click the Start button, then click Control Panel.
2. Click the Network and Internet Connections icon.
3. Click the Network Connections icon.
4. Right-click the LAN Connection icon, then click Properties.
5. Click the Advanced tab.
6. In the Internet Connection Firewall section, click the Protect my computer and network... box to clear it.
7. Click the OK button.
