New Mail: This folder contains new e-mail messages from authorized senders. There can be a maximum of 1,000 e-mails in this folder.
Notes:
E-mail messages will be automatically moved to your Old Mail folder after they have been read.
Optionally, you can change your display settings to show a unified Inbox folder, instead of the New Mail and Old Mail folders.
In the New Mail folder of your mailbox (or Inbox, depending on your settings), the column with the envelope icon is used to identify special e-mail types. Normal messages do not have an icon.
E-mail icons are designed to help you quickly distinguish whether the e-mail is from someone you know, whether it has an attached file, or contains an embedded picture. E-mail with embedded images have a small square in the e-mail icon. E-mail with attachments have a small disk image in the e-mail icon. In addition, there are several security features or distinguishing marks that'll help you identify the source of an e-mail.
