AOL Help-What is old mail feature on AOL® Mail ?

The Old Mail folder contains e-mail messages that have already been read.

E-mail messages will be automatically deleted from your Old Mail folder after 1 to 7 days (depending on your account settings). The default is 3 days. Changes to your account settings must be made within the AOL® software.

Optionally, you can change your display settings to show a unified Inbox folder, instead of the New Mail and Old Mail folders.

You can keep the e-mail as new by clicking the Keep As New button.
