Choosing the right college isn't just about academics, cost and sports. It's also about finding the right location--a city or town where there are solid prospects for student jobs, opportunities to find professional internships and cultural amenities to supplement the classroom.

If you go to college HERE, you're more likely to get paid a higher salary later.

Just like the colleges themselves, the towns and cities in which they are located vary widely in the opportunities they offer students and recent graduates. The American Institute for Economic Research has created the College Destinations Index, a ranking of the 75 best cities in America to attend college. To determine the rankings, each city was assessed on 12 criteria, including the academic environment it provides, the quality of life it offers and the professional opportunities available to its residents.
