The "Fool's Gold" actress told Cosmopolitan magazine that the couple's relationship since their October 2007 legal separation has improved dramatically. "Look, Chris and I are still basically living together! We've figured it out. I mean, obviously, nothing's perfect, but I could never look at our divorce as a mistake. If anything, it's the best thing that ever happened to us."
Not even 30, she has a four-year-old son, but Kate says she doesn't regret for a minute giving up her best party years for diapers and teething. "Am I going to look back and say, 'God, I wish I could have gone to that concert?' I'd rather be listening to my son sing songs. I'd rather be watching him sleep." She still hopes to find her soul mate, despite a series of well-publicized failed relationships with Lance Armstrong, Owen Wilson and Dax Shepard. "Every girl wants a fairy-tale ending," she told Cosmo. "And I believe it's possible. Absolutely."
