The Associated Press reports that the mass of supporters traveled by foot and even boat to reach the park on the Willamette River, which marked the largest rally to date for the Democratic presidential contender. Factors contributing to the large turnout included a sunny, spring day and lots of enthusiasm for Obama in this well-educated and mostly liberal city. Excellent grassroots organizing is also credited. Obama's campaign knows how to build a crowd, using the Internet and word of mouth, as well as radio ads and automated telephone calls, to drive a high turnout.
While this may be the largest crowd for Obama, others have also been impressive, including the 35,000 who jammed Philadelphia's Independence Park in April and the 30,000 who filled an arena in Columbia, South Carolina in December to cheer him at a rally with Oprah Winfrey.
Men who look like THIS have the greatest chance of winning an election.
