Yu and Kyoko both graduated from International Fashion School, Esmod, Japan in 1998 and have previously shown two collections in Sydney and Zurich under the YU Label. They moved to Sydney in 2006 to launch the YU label.
The designers' new take on stylish, sexy allure has produced a collection that showcases how effortlessly technical perfection fused with a feminine perspective lets every woman express her femininity, confidence and individuality in the way she chooses to wear her clothes.
Above all, this YU label is functional and wearable, with each piece destined to become a favourite that transforms and renews the woman who wears it every time she puts it on.

This season's highlights…
The theme for this collection is "Transform the Revolution" and was inspired by the life of the Cuban photographer Alberto Korda and his wife Natilia Mendez (the model Norka). Our inspiration was to create a feminine silhouette and retain a sharp tailored look to highlight the sexy, sensuality of the female form. What would Norka be wearing if she was transposed to 2008.
What are you most renowned for?
Not sure we are famous for anything just yet... we did dress Rache Ward for the Big Brother/Big Sister charity ball last year which was personally for us a really great experience to be a part of.
Two favourite things about winter?
Kyoko – The opportunity to wear my favourite trench coat.
Yu - skiing and mulled wine.

Coco Channel and Christian Dior because they introduced a completely new look and perspective on fashion.
