Whether it's a martini on Friday night to celebrate the start of the weekend, a chilled glass of chardonnay with a dinner of grilled salmon or a cold beer on a hot summer day, 29 percent of U.S. adults drink alcohol at least once a week, while 6 percent imbibe every day.

Find out which alcoholic beverage will give you the worst hangover the next morning.

That's the word from a nationwide Harris Poll of 2,401 U.S. adults. Eight percent said they drink less than once a year, and 26 percent are teetotalers.
