Mazda Australia has taken its relationship with the North Melbourne Football Club into a second decade, signing on as full major sponsor for a further two years.

The country's top-selling vehicle importer has been a proud supporter of the Kangaroos since 1999. "Mazda is excited to extend its support as full major sponsor of the North Melbourne Football Club for the next two years," said Mazda managing director Doug Dickson.

"This agreement takes our partnership into a second decade and in that time the relationship has grown and prospered each and every year. "We look forward to working closely with the team at North Melbourne to ensure our successful brand association continues to be of mutual benefit to North Melbourne and Mazda."

The two-year deal ensures the Mazda logo will continue to be displayed on the front and back of the Club's jumper. "The North Melbourne Football Club is extremely excited to be continuing this unique relationship," said Kangaroos chief executive officer Eugene Arocca. "Mazda's support over the past decade has been invaluable and we are proud to be associated with such a well respected and successful organisation."

Mazda is a strong supporter of sport in Australia. The company's other major sporting partnerships include the Fremantle Football Club, the NSW Waratahs rugby union team and the Melbourne-based Run for the Kids event. Mazda's sporting ambassadors include Waratah's star Lachlan Turner and swimming sensation Andrew Lauterstein.
