Overfinch Delivers Range Rovers with Attitude

Overfinch Bespoke Vehicles made its Australian motor show debut at Melbourne International Motor Show 2008 this month with vehicles that take the Range Rover philosophy to the extreme. Often referred to as the HSV or the AMG of Range Rovers, Overfinch offers an almost limitless range of enhancements. Upgraded powerplants and sports exhausts are matched to an eye-grabbing selection of body kits and 22 inch wheels plus a staggering array of sumptuous interior trim options.

On its Melbourne Motor Show stand are two glossy black beauties that exemplify the breadth of choice available. Based on the Range Rover Sport is the Overfinch Supercharged SuperSport, which marries its black coachwork with dark tinted glass and an interior trimmed in black leather with piano black gloss fittings. Under the bonnet lurks an upgraded Range Rover supercharged petrol V8 with an extra 37 kW for a total of 325 kW and a 0-100 km/h time quoted at a scorching 6.4 seconds. This car also ran in the Motor Show Cavalcade on Wednesday 27 February.

Standing beside it at the Motor Show is a Range Rover Vogue which is as different as can be apart from its matching black livery. The Vogue is trimmed in cream leather with matt burr walnut trim and carries the latest Overfinch Aero II body kit, and it is powered by a turbo-diesel TDV8 boosted 25 kW to a total of 225 kW.

Overfinch is happy to build similar cars for future customers - but experience suggests there may never be any two Overfinches that are even remotely like each other.

Melbourne International Motor Show runs from 5pm on 29 February until 6pm on 10 March and is organised and promoted by the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce through its dealer division the Australian Automobile Dealers Association (Vic).
