Keira Knightley became an international star when she starred as Elizabeth Swann in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL (2003) and it's subsequent sequels. Swann gets kidnapped by the cursed crew of the Black Pearl and the film follows pirate Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and blacksmith Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) as they attempt to rescue her. The film was an unexpected success and cemented Keira Knightley as the new "It" girl. In the film, Keira wore corsets which she said, actually pained her as they were just 20 inches (Keira Knightley has 23 inch waist).
