The 'Sex and the City' actress – who has been dating the education activist for four years – is ready to tie the knot but will only do it once gay marriages are legally recognised in the Big Apple.
She told the New York Daily News newspaper: "In an ideal world, we would like to marry in New York, when it becomes legalised. Hopefully, it won't take 20 years."
Same-sex marriages were recently legalised in California but New York has yet to change its law.
This is not the first time Cynthia - who has two children, 11-year-old daughter Samantha and five-year-old son Charles, with ex-boyfriend Danny Mozes - has revealed her desire to marry Christine.
The 42-year-old actress previously said: "I definitely would get married. It's something my girlfriend is interested in too. I think that to get married to her would be a little act of rebellion. It's like if you've never had the vote and then you get it you're going to run out there and vote."
