The Black Eyed Peas singer – who forged a successful solo career with her debut album 'The Dutchess' – said singing 'Labels and Love' for the film adaptation of the US TV show was an honour.
She said: "I was thrilled to do this song. I've been such a huge fan for so long. My mother and I would watch it religiously. The song completely fits the personalities of the girls – it's kind of a love triangle between love, friends and fashion."
Fergie - who is engaged to 'Las Vegas' star Josh Duhamel – refused to confirm rumours one of the main characters dies in the film, due to hit cinemas worldwide at the end of May.
She added to America's OK! magazine: "I saw the movie! But I can’t say anything about it!" 'Sex and the City: The Movie' sees Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis reunited for the first time since the show ended in 2004.
