The hotel heiress was celebrating turning 28 with a lavish bash at New York nightclub Butter on Monday when Mickey turned up uninvited. The 56-year-old actor arrived at the venue at 2am, seemingly unaware the party was taking place. When a guest told Mickey who arrived with a blonde beauty hanging off his arm he had walked into Paris’ party, he replied: “Who's party? I'm having my own party!”
The actor then snuggled up to his lady friend in a corner, but was later pictured partying with Paris and her friends. Also at the bash where Paris was presented with a three-tier hot pink cake complete with gold trimming and sparklers - was the socialite’s’ ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos, who spent the evening shamelessly flirting with his former love. A source said: “They couldn't keep their hand off each other.” Meanwhile, Mickey has spoken about his love for his dogs.
The ‘Wrestler’ star who thanked his pets in his recent acceptance speech for his Best Actor Golden Globe claims the pooches saved his life when he sank into depression after splitting from ex-wife Carre Otis. He said: “I sort of self-destructed and everything came out about fourteen years ago or so. The wife had left, the career was over, the money was not an ounce. The dogs were there when no one else was there.”
Mickey was so low he even contemplated suicide, but it was the love of his mutts which pulled him through. He explained to US TV talk show host Barbara Walters: “I was sitting in the closet, sleeping in the closet for some reason, and I was in a bad place, and I just remember I was thinking, 'Oh, man, if I do this…’ And then I looked at my dog, Lowjack, and he made a sound, like a little almost human sound. The dog was looking at me going, 'Who's going to take care of me?' "
