Mickey Rourke groped Thandie Newton - in front of her husband

'The Wrestler' star couldn't keep his hands off the 'Crash' actress at the Elle Style Awards in London on Monday night.

As Thandie presented Mickey with the Best Actor award, the actor fondled her from behind, saying "You're fit!"

He later said: "I wouldn't kick her out of bed if she had gas."

Mickey's recent randy behaviour has reportedly enraged rocker Courtney Love, who is said to be secretly dating the star.

A source said: "They've known each other for years. She's stuck by him through the good times and the bad. Now he's back on the Hollywood A-list he's gone up another notch in the desirability stakes."

"Mickey texted Courtney totally out of the blue asking to take her out for the night. They met up in secret and had an awesome evening. They didn't stop at holding hands."

Mickey - who has also won a BAFTA for his portrayal of an ageing wrestler attempting a comeback - is enjoying his renewed fame, but hopes 'Milk' actor Sean Penn wins the Best Actor Oscar which they are both up for.

He said: "Sean Penn is a good friend of mine. When I was down and out he got hold of me and told me exactly what to do and what not to do. I owe him so much that I hope he wins the award."
