Police have charged eight men with murdering a Catholic man in an attack reportedly rooted in sectarian football loyalties.
Police said Thursday that the men _ aged between 18 and 50 _ were also charged with attempted murder of a second man and a variety of assault charges.
They are due to appear in Ballymena Magistrates' Court later in the day.
Witnesses say more than 20 Protestant supporters of Glasgow Rangers drove into a Catholic district of Coleraine after Rangers clinched the Scottish Premier League championship on Sunday. Forty-nine-year-old Catholic Kevin McDaid was killed and 46-year-old Damien Fleming was seriously injured in the attack.
