Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre was fined $10,000 by the NFL on Friday for his dangerous tackle at the knees of Houston's Eugene Wilson in a preseason game last Monday.
The league said Favre hit an opponent below the waist on a run play as the Texans safety was moving toward the ball carrier. The block caused some uproar in Houston and elsewhere around the league. Wilson injured his knee on the play.
