German police say they have arrested a 22-year-old man they suspect of belonging to a far-right organization and plotting to build bombs in his home.
Police in Loerrach in southwestern Germany said Thursday they had taken the man into custody while they continue their investigation. His name was not released and charges have not been filed, pending the outcome of the investigation.
Police said a Wednesday search of his home revealed components that could be used to make a bomb, literature on bomb-making and an ID for the youth wing of the National Democratic Party, Germany's main far-right political organization.
A police spokesman said no concrete plans for an attack were found.
