Ireland made five changes to the backs and eight overall for Saturday's international against Fiji.

Ireland drew 20-20 with Australia on Sunday and has opted to use the match against Fiji as an opportunity to look at some more options ahead of next week's meeting with world champion South Africa.

Coach Declan Kidney announced his team Tuesday, with Keith Earls replacing Luke Fitzgerald on the left wing after coming on for the injured player against the Wallabies.

Shane Horgan plays on the right instead of Tommy Bowe, who is rested after scoring one of Ireland's two tries.

Gordon D'Arcy comes in at center for Paddy Wallace, while Jonathan Sexton will make his debut at flyhalf alongside No. 9 Eoin Reddan.

In the forwards, prop Cian Healy's debut performance looks to have earned him an appearance against the World Cup holders after Kidney opted to rest him against Fiji.

Tom Court is in at loosehead, with lock Leo Cullen and openside flanker Denis Leamy the other changes.

The test will be the first played at Leinster's Royal Dublin Society grounds.

Ireland is unbeaten in 2009 after Brian O'Driscoll touched down from the last move of the match to earn the draw with Australia.
