Police defused a small bomb Friday outside the Greek offices of oil giant Royal Dutch Shell PLC in Athens.
There was no claim of responsibility, and police had no immediate guess on who was responsible for the attack.
Explosives experts located the device after police received an anonymous call warning that a bomb would explode outside the Anglo-Dutch company headquarters at 4:45 a.m. (0145 GMT). It was destroyed in a series of controlled explosions.
Police said the bomb contained up to three kilograms (six pounds) of dynamite. It was set to explode with an electric detonator, linked to a mechanical clock.
