The European Handball Federation has given a three-year ban and a ⁈ ($61,500) fine to an Austrian coach who ran onto the court and stopped an opposing player from scoring last week.
The EHF also excluded Gunnar Prokop, 69, from any position within the federation and fined his Hypo Niederoesterreich club ⁈ ($41,000).
Prokop, who resigned as Hypo Niederoesterreich coach Tuesday, intentionally collided with a player for French team Metz HB four seconds before the end of Thursday's Champions League game. The game ended in a 27-27 draw.
