Police in India fired warning shots and used batons to disperse groups of Hindus and Muslims who clashed during a cricket match, leaving 19 people injured in western India over the weekend, a police officer said Monday.
Police arrested four people for alleged rioting and attempted murder on Sunday in Mumbai, India's financial and entertainment capital.
Police inspector Anil Gite told The Associated Press that the two groups clashed during the match between two local teams.
Officers were also pelted with stones when they tried to separate the two groups.
