President Barack Obama has returned to the United States.
Air Force One, with the president aboard, arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland early Wednesday morning. Obama then boarded Marine One for the short helicopter ride to the White House.
Obama's eight-day European trip, his first overseas trip as president, included an economic crisis summit in London, a NATO conclave in France and Germany, and stops in the Czech Republic and Turkey.
He wrapped up the trip with a five-hour visit to the Iraq war zone, where he met with the top U.S. commander and with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
Obama addressed hundreds of U.S. troops stationed at Camp Victory, the largest U.S. military facility in the country.
