Cyprus police say they have detained 10 people after clashes with firebomb-throwing football fans left four officers injured.

Police said Monday the 10 range in age from 15 to 26. The violence broke out Sunday in the coastal resort of Limassol at the end of a derby match between rivals APOEL Nicosia and AEL Limassol.

Police said around 100 fans outside the Tsirion stadium hurled molotov cocktails and pelted police with rocks.

One of the injured officers suffered a broken nose. Fans also attacked a TV cameraman and stole his €6,800 ($9,200) camera. Two police cars were also damaged.
