Saprissa tops United in CONCACAF Champions League

Walter Centeno and Jairo Arrieta scored to lead Costa Rica's Deportivo Saprissa to a 2-0 victory over D.C. United on Tuesday in their opening match of the inaugural CONCACAF Champions League.

Centeno scored in the 32nd minute and Arrieta in the 52nd for Saprissa.

United played most of the game with 10 men after midfielder Devon McTavish was sent off for violent conduct in the 35th minute.
