The official North Korean news agency says a second shipment of U.S. food aid to the communist country has arrived.
The Korean Central News Agency says a ship carrying the aid arrived in the western port of Nampo on Monday. Tuesday's one-sentence report did not give any details.
North Korea has relied on foreign assistance to help feed its 23 million people since the mid-1990s. The World Food Program has warned recently the North is facing the worst food crisis since then.
The shipment is part of 500,000 tons of aid the U.S. pledged to the North amid progress in negotiations to end Pyongyang's nuclear programs.
In late June, 37,000 tons of wheat was shipped to the North in the first installment.
