Slovakia's unemployment rate rose slightly in May to reach 7.44 percent, the country's labor office said Thursday.
It was an 0.06 percent increase from an all-time record low of 7.38 percent one month earlier.
The labor office did not comment on the figures. The rate was 8.33 percent in May 2007.
Slovakia's economy, driven by foreign car and electronics manufacturers, has been one of the fastest growing in Europe, expanding by 10.3 percent in 2007. It grew 8.2 percent in 2006, up from 6.1 percent in 2005.
