Serbian officials say a key report on their cooperation with a U.N. war crimes tribunal is positive even though the top fugitive Ratko Mladic remains at large.
The chief U.N. war crimes prosecutor for former Yugoslavia, Serge Brammertz, will deliver his annual report to the U.N. Security Council on Dec. 3. It has not been published.
Rasim Ljajic, a government official in charge of cooperation with the tribunal, said Wednesday a draft of the report made available to Serbian officials "is absolutely realistic and objective" about Serbia's efforts to catch the wartime Bosnian Serb army commander.
The report is crucial for Serbia's European Union aspirations.
