The father of two children faces capital murder charges for allegedly slaying them during an apparent murder-attempted suicide.
Police had been looking for the children after their mother reported her estranged husband had called saying he planned to drive them to an unknown location and kill them, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Police spokesman John Cannon said the woman's eight-year-old daughter and six-year-old son were found shot to death in a car Tuesday along with the father who apparently shot himself in the head.
Pedro Enrique Rosabal, 33, who is on life support and in critical condition, has been charged with capital murder in the deaths, Cannon said.
