Following the use of US federal funds to spur the banking and car manufacturing industries, two adult entertainment magnates are calling for a $5 billion injection to their trade.

Larry Flynt, publisher of ‘Hustler’ magazine, and Joe Francis, producer of the ‘Girls Gone Wild’ video series, say they need help to get through the global economic downturn.

Francis said: “The government’s handing out money to the auto industry, why shouldn’t it hand some to an industry the nation could not live without?”

Those working at the front line of pornography are already feeing the effects of the downturn.

Erotic actress Jenna Presley said: “Companies are reducing their rates. Instead of paying a girl $2,000 for a boy-girl scene, now they’re trying to pay $1,200.”
