Ultra-Orthodox Jews are protesting in Jerusalem against the opening of a car park on Saturdays, the Jewish Sabbath when religious Jews are forbidden to drive.
A few thousand Ultra-Orthodox protesters took to the streets Friday evening after prayers shouting "Shabbes, Shabbes," the Yiddish word for "Sabbath."
Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said there were no violent incidents and no arrests made.
Earlier this month, police clashed with rioters at a car park at Jerusalem City Hall that wanted to open on Saturdays.
Religious Jews believe driving violates the biblical command to rest on the Sabbath.
