Frankfurt Airport says construction workers found a 66-pound (30-kilogram) World War II-era bomb while digging between Terminals 1 and 2.

Authorities closed down two gates at the airport, but air traffic was not disrupted following Tuesday's discovery. A bomb squad is to deactivate the bomb, believed to have been dropped from U.S. aircraft during the war.

World War II-era bombs are still found regularly in Germany, more than 60 years after the end of the war.
