A New York woman is suing a Catholic priest she says persuaded her to have sex with him by claiming it was "ordained by God".
Judith Rodrigues-Lytwyn alleges she visited Father Elvis Elano for confession during which she admitted her marriage was on the brink of collapse.
She says he immediately "professed his love, devotion, and physical attraction" to her and encouraged her to have sex with him.
Rodrigues-Lytwyn's US$25 million lawsuit accuses Elano and the local diocese of negligence and inflicting emotional distress.
Photos of a topless Elano are included with the lawsuit, along with personal emails and a receipt for anti-impotence drug Viagra, paid for by Elano.
The affair reportedly ended when Elano developed a rash on his groin and legs he was concerned was caused by sex.
