Pizza delivery man Eric Lopez Devictoria, 40, had been confronted by the criminal and ordered into a nearby building.
However, the quick thinking fast food worker lobbed the steaming hot pizza into the armed robber’s face before running away, dodging his bullets.
Devictoria – who works for a local branch of Pizza Hut - managed to get to safety and put in a call Florida police.
Three teenage suspects have since been charged with armed robbery.
