Jones second in Japan

Australian Brendan Jones has finished second in the Japan Golf Tour Championship at the Shishido Hills Country Club.

Jones was unable to make any inroads into Hidemasa Hoshino's five-stroker overnight lead on the final day.

Hoshino matched Jones' final round of 70 and finished five strokes clear on 12-under.

Jones shared second place with Takao Nogami.

Scott Laycock, who carded a five-under-par 66 on the final day for a share of 23rd place on four-over, was the next best-placed Australian ahead of Chris Campbell and Craig Jones, who were 46th on 11-over.

Craig Parry had a disastrous Sunday, dropping nine strokes with an 80 to finish on 13-over.
