The New Zealand cricket team will play three limited-overs matches in Pakistan in the leadup to September's Champions Trophy tournament.
A New Zealand Cricket spokesman said Wednesday that dates and venues for the matches, likely to be played in the last week of August and the first week of September, would be confirmed when existing security concerns had been addressed.
The International Cricket Council is expected on Sunday to release a new security report on the staging of the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. The tournament could be postponed or moved to Sri Lanka if a threat is perceived.
NZC spokesman Steve Addison said his organization was working with New Zealand team members, their players' association, New Zealand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other bodies to address security issues.
Addison said no New Zealand player yet had made himself unavailable for the tour on security grounds.
