Some of the most respected actors in television history have made their name playing lawyers on legal dramas, and now you can add another master thespian to the list: Jim Belushi.
Yes, Variety is reporting that the mind behind 'According to Jim' is currently developing a courtroom drama that will feature Belushi as a friendly lawyer who defends both the innocent and the guilty with equal determination.
Joining Belushi on the as-yet unnamed project are two Hollywood heavyweights: Diane English, who has TV and film hits such as 'Murphy Brown' and 'The Women' on her resume, and Barry Levinson, who is best known for his classic movies 'Rain Man' and 'The Natural'.
The series, which has yet to be shopped to the networks, is based on the works of real-life lawyer and TV personality Mickey Sherman, who wrote the memoir 'How Can You Defend These People?' about his controversial career as a defense attorney. Sherman previously appeared in Levinson's film 'Man of the Year', which explains at least one aspect of this project.
