LeAnn Rimes' boyfriend has filed for divorce from his wife.
Eddie Cibrian - who is thought to have begun an affair with the singer in March when they were both still married - has started legal proceedings to end his eight-year marriage to Brandi Glanville.
Brandi revealed: "He filed on Monday (24.08.09) and I accepted it. We're getting a divorce. We talked to each other yesterday. It's just over for me. We're both happy. This is going to be good."
Brandi claims she knew there was something going on between Eddie and LeAnn when the couple went on a double date with the blonde star and her spouse Dean Sheremet.
She told Us Weekly magazine: "We went to play pool, went for sushi, dancing. But it was different from when other women flirt with Eddie. It was a little more reciprocated."
But Brandi also noticed how affectionate LeAnn and Dean seemed to be with another.
She said: "They were very touchy-feely. They seemed happy. But I felt it was almost like, 'I love my husband. I'm not after your husband.' "
After reports of an affair between Eddie and LeAnn surfaced, Brandi and Eddie - who have two children together - went to counselling in a bid to save their relationship.
However, during that time the actor never cut off contact with the 26-year-old singer.
Brandi said: "We were in therapy, but he never stopped talking to LeAnn so how could that have worked?"
LeAnn separated from Dean last month and she and Eddie are set to go on their first official holiday as a couple later this week.
